From the 360* movement style,
To the hand glove you can use to control it,

Both Alan & the girls were amazed with it’s capabilities 😍

The only downside was that the batteries dont last very long, BUT — Plus side, they include ✌🏻 So while one is being used, the other can charge.

All in all- for an affordable Amazon find- I’d give this one ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

TL; DR ➡️ my cognition has been SO bad I feel like a tiny drunk 90 year old all-day-errr-day.

No surprise a new Dr to my case called it Lyme Disease . . .
(🙋🏼‍♀️ how many of us MSers went thru dozens of lyme tests at diagnosis already??!! 🤣)

Anywho— no surprise it came back negative, and that puts us onto the next 🔍

Being sick these last few weeks has taught me a lo

Being sick these last few weeks has taught me a lot of things . . . .

1️⃣ You HAVE to be your own advocate in today’s medical world. This extends beyond the chronic illness community. If I had not followed up on any of my lab results, nobody would have reached out to me. #sadbuttrue

2️⃣ The medical system in America is BROKEN. By disjoining the body and breaking it down into an ungodly amount of specialists, we’ve separated the pieces of the puzzle into separate boxes. My random aches and pains could have been 5 separate issues that required 5 different doctors… OR ONE Dr could put those puzzle pieces together from ALL the areas to get an actual representation of what is going on inside my one-singular-not-disjointed-body.

Which leads me to point number,

3️⃣ Insurance is driving this disjointed hot mess express. While in the ER I had doctors trying to fulfill medical codes versus actually get to the root of the problem. It’s all about the nickels and dimes, not health or wellness. Healthcare is more concerned with making sure codes get submitted right, while insurance is making sure codes get submitted in a way that passes the most cost onto me.

4️⃣ Just like the student loan program- where there is guaranteed money, the prices must go up!!! We all know that Tylenol is not worth $300, but because insurance is willing to pay $300, the hospital will take it — like a good ol American for profit corporation should. That’s AFTER the insurance we pay premiums for, still passes the cost onto us… and AFTER our Gov’t required us to all have insurance. #cardsstacked

5️⃣ Because healthcare should be for profit right???

Something has GOT to give in America.

Healthcare is B R O K E N and it doesn’t look like it’s at the top of anyone’s priority list.

Lately I’ve been feeling a complete sense of ove

Lately I’ve been feeling a complete sense of overwhelm . . .
It’s not just ONE thing that’s been triggering it,
But ALL of life feels overwhelming.

And with that overwhelm,
EVERYTHING HURTS.

My muscles hurt.
My bones hurt.
My head hurts.
My life hurts.

I feel like I’m trudging through concrete on the daily.
Both physically and mentally.

Adding 1+1 is hard.
Remember what I ate for breakfast is hard.
More than 1 stimuli around me is hard.
Existing is hard.

It wasn’t until this past Friday that I realized.

➡️➡️ This is my relapse ⬅️⬅️

I’ve felt this way before — especially when it gets super hot.

But I’ve always written it off as nothing “new.”

I’ve had it in my head that a relapse has to be something DRAMATIC.

The loss of my vision.
The inability to walk.
The moment I can’t swallow.

I never knew that a relapse can be a flare up of OLD symptoms.
Because my doctors and the “research” put so much emphasis on the “new.”

New symptoms = New Damage

But that does not mean old symptoms cant be a relapse.

Old symptoms = Aggravated Existing Damage

&& that’s just as legit.

I feel more vindicated in how I’m feeling lately.
At least I know my malaise and frustration have an epicenter.
And I can focus on healing.

But — my BEST advice?

Trust your instincts, always 🧡

It’s 50/50 on when the weather is going to coope

It’s 50/50 on when the weather is going to cooperate here in Connecticut 🌱 All the signs LOOK like early spring . . . but tonight’s snow storm says otherwise 😂

All jokes aside-
I thought growing hibiscus would be hard to do here in the Northeast 🌺

People have told me horror stories on how it’s too cold,
It’s gotta be taken in in the winter,
It wont get enough heat,
It wont get enough humidity,
The list goes on and on . . . 🙄

But I have been PLEASANTLY surprised with the ease at which you can grow hibiscus here on the shoreline of Connecticut. Breezy salty air and all 🌊

So much so, in fact- I’m considering planting 2 more in my front bed there to REALLY amp up the show that these beauties produce each August 😍

What do you guys think?

The BEST part about Disney?

Is that it allows me to connect with my kids 💕

I was gifted this awesome cookbook for Christmas,
And immediately my kids rummaged through picking out all of the things I should make 🤪

Just another thing on the to do list yall 😝

My oldest’s first choice was Tiana’s beignets,
& with the upcoming holiday I KNEW it was a great time to use it as a vehicle to get her to try new things 😆🙈

I was sent these @fulfil_nutritionus bars last wee

I was sent these @fulfil_nutritionus bars last week to try & here’s my round up:

1️⃣ Chocolate Peanut Caramel: Like a healthier snickers!
Very chewy (so if you have bad teeth, this may not be for you 🫶)
But- BOTH of my picky kids liked it, so that’s a win on the mom front too.

2️⃣ Chocolate Hazelnut: a little disappointing.
I expected more flavor- like a ferrero rocher or a knopper… but all I tasted was chocolate and nougat. Not many hazelnuts at all.
1 out of my 2 kids approved.
My hazelnut loving kid was NOT happy with it.

BOTH were low in sugar & high in protein,
So right on point for my low carb Wahls 3 diet 👌🏼

Overall, Id give them
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars.

Not bad.
But I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy them again.
(Though in a pinch at a gas station while traveling, I’d totally be down).

Have you ever had one of those moments where you just KNOW you’re supposed to do something??

But you just have the unending nagging feeling that you are meant to DO something? 🤔

I’ve been connecting with MSers all over the globe for the last 4 years through relatable posts, thoughts, memes, and reels,

But it’s never quite hit the nail on the head.

🧡 Because I feel like I have so much MORE to say.

Fun Fact- I’ve run out of room on captions before lol 🙈
& the crazier part is,
Those super compelling stories I share??
People READ them to the end!!

(Thanks you guys for hanging with me all these years, you give me SO much strength!! 💕🙏)

Anyway— All this to say that for 2023 I’m committed to writing more.
The Good.
The Bad.
The Ugly.
The Truth.

Last week I learned that 44% of “older” millennials already have at least 1 chronic illness,
And that number is expected to climb as more of us enter our 30’s and beyond. 🤯

…even worse?

We are the first generation that’s life expectancy is projected to be SHORTER than the last generation.
AND we are aging at a faster rate than any other generation 🤯🤯🤯

All of this to say,
That someone has to say SOMETHING.
We have GOT to be heard🧡🧡
