#ad Unpopular Opinion ➡️ I hate paint & sips! #ad Unpopular Opinion ➡️ I hate paint & sips! 🫢 Hear me out . . . I LOVE getting together with my friends. I LOVE a good reason for a charcuterie board. I LOVE anything that involves wine. What I don’t love is the dozens of paintings that will never see the light of day in my house, And you KNOW what I mean!!!! Paint and sips are a great time to get together with friends, But being stuck with a bunch of mediocre paintings Bob Ross style is the worst part of the whole ordeal 🥴 If you’re like me, you probably feel like you cant throw it away. After all, that took 3 hours of your life and A LOT of difficult blending lol. However, it’s not exactly the aesthetic of your home, And even if you were having a good day, my guess is you are no Michelangelo ( it’s ok, neither am I ) 🤣 @annieskitclubs were a great option for me to get my crafting on in a way that allows me to utilize the finished projects. You can tell they took the time to pick projects that they know people will not only LOVE to make, But also love to display in their homes. As I sit here on World MS day and reflect on the p As I sit here on World MS day and reflect on the past year I cant help but feel an immeasurable amount of sadness. 🧡 Sadness for the lives that were lost. 🧡 Sadness for the dreams that were crushed. 🧡 Sadness for the loneliness MS brings on. Thousands of lives effected globally by a disease that changes EVERY aspect of your being, And the majority of people I meet have no idea what MS is. 🤯 TL;DR version >> Our bodies are destroying our brains 24/7 365. It changes how we think. It changes how we feel. It changes how we move. It changes how we sleep. It changes how we work. It changes how we engage with the world around us. It changes EVERYTHING. ((Fun fact of the day, it can LITERALLY change your personality if your brain rewires in a sexy new fun way)) And the world keeps going on as it always has, Every day it turns. And we - as chronically ill individuals- are expected to keep turning with the world, the same way we always have. … except nothing in our lives is the way it’s always been done. So we find ourselves in this weird love-hate relationship with the world around us. Square pegs for round holes. Trying to force ourselves to fit into places where we dont belong, or feel uncomfortable doing so. And the end result is overly burnt out individuals, that trigger flare ups of this nasty disease, only making the situation worse…. Followed by the self loathing, guilt, hate, and downward self confidence spiral as we witness our once favorite things slip away from us, One by one by one….. On this World MS Day if you take anything way, It’s to be kind, always ✨ Because some strangers are going through things others cannot even imagine, and they’re doing it silently. Not a whole lot of chocolate flavor to it, but still yummy and refreshing. Id buy it again! 🥥 Coconut Lime… well let’s just say they did NOT put the lime in this coconut. Tasted like watery sunscreen, with an off sweetener taste to it. I would pass on this flavor. Not for me! #ad In an effort to #bringonspring - we decided to #ad In an effort to #bringonspring - we decided to have a “Create Your Own Hotdog Bar” for dinner the other night! ⬇️ Here’s how to set it up: I started by picking up @Sahlens Tender Casing Pork & Beef Smokehouse Hotdogs, as well as the all beef version. 🔐 This is truly the secret to a successful #hotdogbar because they are sooo yummy and seriously next level for hot dogs. ➡️ Then I set out all of our favorite traditional toppings: Ketchup, Mustard, Relish ➡️ Next I opted for some pantry staples that we had on hand like: Onions and Cheese ➡️ Finally I picked up some next level toppings like: Bacon, Jalapeños, Chili, and Chutney This #grillingszn dinner solution is AWESOME because you can truly mix it up as much as you want! Smoked Gouda and Mango Salsa? Check ✔️ Nacho cheese and avocado? Check ✔️ My hubby even discovered a new fav combo for himself: Mustard > Onion > Jalapeño > Bacon (😉 if you want to try it) Hot dogs are a HUGE hit in our house. My oldest would eat them for every meal if I let her. So kicking it up a notch and paying ode to her favorite meal was definitely past due. One of the hardest parts of Multiple Sclerosis for One of the hardest parts of Multiple Sclerosis for me has been to swallow the pill that I cant do it all anymore. I cant keep up physically. I cant go with sleepless nights and rebound. I cant push myself to the limit and expect to recover in a 24 hr period. I cant manage #allthethings and do them well. MS is an ugly disease that robs so many of the things that they once enjoyed. Easy things. Simple things. ➡️ Things that most of society takes for granted ⬅️ Learning to cope with disease is hard. Relearning how to do the things you love with limitations is hard. Facing yourself in the mirror and admitting “this is as good as it’s going to get” is HARD. If you’re struggling with your silent sickness, know that you’re not alone. ((And that you’ve ALWAYS got a friend in me 💕 )) If you know someone with a silent sickness, know that they’re doing the best that they can.
